You may check-in from 5.00 p.m. to your room. If you require an earlier check-in this may be arranged. If you are planning to arrive after 7.00 p.m. or are delayed please let us know to avoid losing your reservation. On the day of departure rooms must be vacated no later than 10.00 am. Later departure times can be arranged but may incur a charge
Smoking: All bedrooms are non-smoking. We reserve the right to charge fee of £150. An extra night’s stay(at the prevailing B&B rate and using the credit card given to secure the booking) will be charged in the event of the room being un-letable due to smoke.
Damage: in the unlikely event of replacement, cleaning or repair being required to any item(s) belonging to the hotel, or the fabric of the hotel itself, because of wilful damage, or damage incurred because reasonable precautions have not been taken, we reserve the right to reclaim all and any costs incurred including loss of business
Cancellation: your reservation is made with David Buckel as the Old Rectory and represents a legally binding contract between you and the Old Rectory. A cancellation with more than 120 hours notice will incur a no charge. Cancellations within 120 hrs of arrival date check in time will be liable for 100% of the total value of the reservation. At the sole discretion of the proprietors, the charge MAY be waived in part if we are able to re-let the cancelled room(s) in part, and WILL be waived in full if the total value of the booking can be replaced in full.We require a valid credit card to secure bookings and reserve the right to charge the card for cancellations falling outside the permitted time scales, as detailed above. By entering into this contract you are authorising us to make the above charges to the card without any additional consent being required. We are able to accept payment in cash and credit/debit card. Please note that we are unable to accept American Express.

We would strongly suggest that insurance is taken for any holiday.
Due to ongoing Covid19 restrictions we have put in place some new policies and procedures.We ask that you follow the current government rules and guidelines.Any guest, or any member of their household, who is showing any signs of Covid infection must not travel, stay at home and follow the government guidelines. Please contact us rearrange your stay or cancel your booking.
We will ask for an arrival time to help stagger the arrival of guests.If you arrive and guests are already in the hall, please wait outside or in the vestibule in bad weather.
You will be asked to use the hand sanitiser. Please use this whenever leaving or returning the building.
We may ask to use a forehead thermometer and any guest with a reading of 38c and above will be asked to return home and follow the government guidelines.
If you have stayed with us before we will direct you to your room.
If you are a new guest, we will show you to your room, but we ask you to maintain a respectful distance.
If you need help with your bags, we will use hand sanitiser before and after the handling of luggage.
Your keys and rooms will have been cleaned and sanitised before your arrival.
During the day, common touch point such as door handles,switches and handrails will be sanitised.
We ask guests to refrain from touching such surfaces as much as possible.
Breakfast will still be served in the breakfast room however some changes have had to be made.
Many of the items we usually layout on the side table have had to be removed, such as cereals, yogurts and fruit. All these items are available on request.
Orders will be taken for cooked breakfast and these will be severed onto the side table for you to collect. Your table will not be cleared whilst you are seated.
We are not allowed to service the rooms in our usual way. If you need anything for your room or need your room serviced during your stay, please speak to us at breakfast or hang the “Makeup the room” sign on your door.
Please place any rubbish, in the bag provided, outside your room; a new bag will be provided.
We ask guests to open the windows when they leave to ventilate the room.
