Mackenzie Ross, who rebuilt Turnberry after it was dug up to make way for an airfield during World War  Two, was the man responsible for creating the beautiful Southerness layout fifteen miles from the County town of Dumfries on the shores of the Solway Firth.

Solway Links Golf Course is located in the heart of  Dumfries & Galloway offering good fun for all the family. Solway Links is an 18 hole pay and play golf course in a stunning coastal location near Southerness Holiday Village and beaches. The golf course overlooks the Solway Firth with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and across the sea to the Lake District.

A challenging 18 holes set in lovely rolling countryside on the western outskirts of Dumfries. The greens and fairways are kept in immaculate condition - you will enjoy your golf here. Pleasant parkland, wooded and reasonably flat. A good test for the club golfer.

The Dumfries and County Golf Club is a privately  owned parkland course situated on the outskirts of the town of Dumfries. On one side lies the River Nith with spectacular views of the Nith Valley and surrounding countryside.

There is plenty of variety playing our 18 hole course being a mixture of parkland and heathland. The greens are a particular feature of the course, all having subtle undulations and an exceptional putting surface. The Pines feature hole is a 146 yard par three with water on three sides of the green.

A wooded parkland course located directly oppositeDumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, one mile outside Dumfries on Bankend Road. The Clubhouse has a restaurant and bar. A function room is available for private parties, club and society meetings. Changing areas are available for visitors.

The course occupies a historic area around the very attractive Kirk Loch. The tee shot on the second hole takes you on to the site of Bruce Castle and when playing the third hole you cannot fail to notice the huge defensive ditch which helped to protect the site.

18 hole parkland course in an open agricultural setting with delightful views of the surrounding coutryside. There are two or three water hazards which make for some interesting scores! The course provides a very reasonable challenge for golfers of all abilities.
