We offer tuition for fly casting and fishing for salmon and trout as well as grayling and sea trout fishing. Let our guides and instructors take the stress and strain out of fly fishing at night for sea trout. All of our staff are qualified professional instructors who are expert fishers.

Most of the River Annan's beats are here. You can read about each one, see its fishing availability, and book salmon fishing online or by telephone.

The Annan is about 35 miles long and most of it is available for fishing.  It rises at the foot of Hart Fell, five miles north of Moffat. A second fork rises on Annanhead Hill and flows through the Devil's Beef Tub before joining at the Hart Fell fork north of Moffat.  From there it flows past the town of Lockerbie, and to the sea in the fishing town of Annan. It is one of the region's foremost fishing rivers

Ideal dates to fish for the different species - BROWN TROUT, April, May, June and July. Four and five pounders are caught every year on dry fly and nymph. SEA TROUT, June, July and August. SALMON, February, March and April, but only in the bottom third or so of the river, otherwise September, October, November. Obviously this is very approximate and there are overlaps.

The gamefishing season runs from the end of February to mid November, and there is an increasing opertunity for Grayling fishing during the winter months. The lower half of the river contains Chub and some of the tributaries and the group of Lochs surrounding Lochmaben contain other coarse fish including large Bream,Perch and Pike.
